We have an exciting opportunity for reflective and resourceful Educational Psychologists to join Bournemouth and Poole Educational Psychology Services at a period of growth and new development.

Candidates will have good interpersonal and communication skills and a sound knowledge of current applied Educational Psychology and legislation relevant to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

We are highly regarded, forward thinking, dynamic services that work in partnership with other Local Authority teams, educational settings, and health and care professionals. We are closely involved with local and national developments, and with professional training for educational psychologists. We offer a wide range of statutory and non-statutory services, from individual focused interventions to broader systemic and strategic approaches. Opportunities will also be created as we enter a new phase of local government reorganisation which will see Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch form one authority from April 2019.

Bournemouth EPS operates a mixed core and traded service offer which will be expanded across the new authority.

We can offer you:

  • A supportive, collaborative and innovative team of EPs
  • A high level of supervision and access to a range of effective CPD models
  • Flexible working arrangements and excellent IT support
  • Opportunities to develop specialist interests, training and work within wider arenas

Dedicated, efficient and effective administrative support. Please see the person specification and job description for more details.

Applications are welcome from professionally qualified, HCPC registered educational psychologists or trainees in their 2nd or 3rd year of training on an accredited educational psychology doctoral course, who will be eligible for HCPC registration on course completion. Applicants interested in part time working are welcome to apply.

Relocation/mortgage and rent subsidy schemes may apply to this post, subject to eligibility and other terms and conditions.
