Children's Social Care Recruitment
If you make a move this year, make it to here.
There has never been a better time to come and join Bournemouth Children’s Social Care Team.
Why? The reasons are endless, but here are just a few...
We will be excellent in all of the services we provide for our children and families. Our response to the Munro and Family Justice Review is well-advanced. We have already transformed our social work services to protect children and be at the forefront of innovative and effective social work practice, including the introduction of single assessments.
We are improving & developing after our recent Ofsted inspection, which recognised that we keep our children safe and that many of our working practices are sound. We know what we need to do to be excellent and are not afraid to try out cutting edge ways of providing services and driving forward real and positive change in professional practice.
We are proud of our track record in both social work and as an innovative and supportive employer of choice who encourages our staff to flourish.
We value our staff, trusting and empowering them to be a real part of our ambitious change programme.
Join us and you can be the social care practitioner you aspire to be – one that is open to change and eager to deliver excellence. Our teams are constantly expanding, and we have a variety of challenging and exciting opportunities.
Join us now – and you will be welcomed in to an organisation that values its employees and ensures that you feel safe and supported to do your job. There has never been a better time...
Bournemouth Borough Council is a pro-active member of the Pan Dorset Health and Social Care Academy and collaborates closely with Bournemouth University. As employers we can offer a range of post-qualifying opportunities, research opportunities and collaboration in practice learning, World Café Events and seminars. We are committed to working together to provide high quality training and education for our workforce.
As part of our ongoing recruitment and retention campaign, we have made a pledge to all of our staff that we will remain committed to “growing our own” social workers in Children’s Social care in Bournemouth. This include encouraging some of our support staff to become qualified social workers, spotting the talented newly qualified social workers available on the recruitment circuit and developing and encouraging staff who wish to gain promotion within Service. We are committed to providing a full ASYE programme for all our newly qualified staff.
